We know customers appreciate a personally tailored experience afforded by a sincere human connection. We engage in an active dialogue with you to mutually develop our energy assessment. Whether you’re buying a home or updating where you live now, we can show you how a home energy assessment makes life more comfortable and economical!
Once we've gathered your background information, we'll come to your location and begin our energy assessment. This includes a visual inspection for out-of-date appliances, shower heads and light bulbs. Air flow tests are also conducted to determine the current state of your home's efficiency and energy loss. We then provide you with energy saving solutions based on the results of our energy assessment.
The energy assessment can result in new light bulbs, improved hot water fixtures, air sealing and much more. We also provide significant rebates for measures such as insulation, windows, refrigerators, washers, dryers and dehumidifiers. We’ll work with you to take advantage of these rebates, and install the products for less than retail price!
By the end of our energy assessment your building will be more efficient, as well as pleasant! An efficient home translates to reduced energy costs, long term savings and boosted comfort for you and your family. We do everything we can to help you love your home even more!
Is my home a good match for the program?
We conduct projects on single and multifamily homes in the state of Connecticut. If you match these requirements, and believe you're paying too much on your energy bills, our team is for you!
How much do I pay for the assessment?
The market rate for the base assessment is $50. Customers can apply for the Income Eligible category, which means the assessment occurs with no cost to you.
How long does a base assessment take? What about additional measures?
Depending on the size of the home, it can take a few hours to all day. Homes larger than 3500 sq feet tend to take upwards of 4 hours. Anything below this can be done in 1 - 3 hours.
Same is applied to additional measures; the smaller the home, the quicker the job.
What if I already had an assessment? Do I need another?
You cannot re-apply for an energy assessment within 3 years. Homes with assessments older than 3 years can qualify for another assessment.
