HES-Income Eligible: If your family's combined gross yearly income is below the state's 60 percent income median, you may meet the requirements for no-cost energy saving services.
  • Technicians will come to your home and make energy saving improvements to decrease air flows and assist you on saving on your lighting and hot water bills. 
  • If your house qualifies for additional services such as insulation or a more energy-efficient refrigerator, they will coordinate for contractors to come back to your home and do the work. Depending on your circumstances, you may be eligible for these services at no cost.

  • They use up to 80% less energy than standard incandescent bulbs
  • Last 14-40 years
  • Provides excellent color quality, turns on immediately, and has the ability for dimming as well
As of now, they are more expensive than other energy-efficient bulbs, but the cost is decreasing each year as this production continues to improve

Appliances: Look for ENERGY STAR labels on appliances. These appliances are consistent with the strict energy-efficiency guidelines set by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency and The U.S. Department of Energy.
